Crimson Bellied Conure Enamel Pin

Regular price $16.00

The Crimson Bellied Conure, also known as the crimson-bellied parakeet, is known to be a playful, cuddly and affectionate bird, and like most conures they love to be silly and and goof around. These parrots are native to the south-cental Amazon Rainforest.

Fun Fact: The Crimson Bellied Conure often gets mistaken for the Pearly Conure. Both birds are visually similar and closely related, however the Pearly Conure has a green belly, not a crimson belly. Scientifically, both species shared the same name 'Pyrrhura perlata' however it was discovered that the type specimen they originally had for the Pearly Conure was in fact a juvenile Crimson Belly and not a Pearly Conure.

The Feathered Friends collection is a tribute to the birds in our lives, past and present. Our birds are not just pets, but loved members of our family. Check out the full collection here.
