The Drummer Cicada, also known as the double drummer, is the largest Cicada native to Australia and also said to be the loudest insect in the world. Cicada's are commonly known for the high-pitched sound they make during the Australian summer. This sound is actually a mating call and can be so high-pitched that it will cause pain to dogs and other animals.

Cicada's have always been a point of fascination for us and we just had to make a pin to show that!
