The Green Grocer is a cicada native to Australia and one of the loudest insect in the world. Cicada's are commonly known for the high-pitched sound they make during the Australian summer. This sound is actually a mating call and can be so high-pitched that it will cause pain to dogs and other animals.
This pin is actually based on our design for the Drummer Cicada with a green variation to reflect that of the Green Grocer. The wings are filled with glitter enamel!
