Australian King Parrot Hard Enamel Pin (Female)

The king and queen of the Aussie bush! Australian King-Parrots are loved for their friendly nature and striking red and green plumage. They’re found along the east coast of Australia, in dense subtropical rainforest and tall eucalypt forest. This pin features a female King-Parrot, with her soft green head and red belly, perched on native lilly pilly.

Fun fact: King-Parrots nest in deep tree hollows. The entrance can be up to 10 metres high, but the eggs are laid right down near the base of the hollow, often close to ground level, on a soft bed of decaying wood.
