Moluccan / Salmon-crested Cockatoos Enamel Pin
**NOTICE** We're temporarily closed until the 16th of October. All orders placed currently will dispatch after this date. Thank you!
The Salmon-crested cockatoo, also known as the Moluccan cockatoo, is a large white cockatoo endemic to the Seram archipelago in eastern Indonesia. These cockatoos are mostly white with a subtle peach undertone, however their crest is a rich orangy red colour and their vent and tail have more peach coloured pigment. Moluccan cockatoos in the wild are found in lowland forests below where their diet consists mainly of seeds, nuts and fruit, as well as coconuts.
We perched this pair on torch ginger (Etlingera elatior) which is native to the humid rain forests of Indonesia.
