Philippine / Red-vented Cockatoos Enamel Pin
**NOTICE** We're temporarily closed until the 16th of October. All orders placed currently will dispatch after this date. Thank you!
The red-vented cockatoo, also known as the Philippine cockatoo, is a critically endangered species of cockatoo that is endemic to the Philippines. It is estimated there are only between 430 - 750 left in the wild. These medium sized white cockatoos exhibit a striking orangy-red vent colour as well as yellowing on the under tail and under wings.
We perched this pair on a bakhaw lalaki (Rhizophora apiculata) which is found in mangrove areas throughout southeast Asia, Micronesia and some parts of south Asia. Red vented cockatoos have been know to roost in these types of mangroves.
