The Redeye is a cicada species native to the South-East of Australia. Cicada's are commonly known for the high-pitched sound they make during the Australian summer. This sound is actually a mating call and can be so high-pitched that it will cause pain to dogs and other animals.
This pin is actually based on our design for the Drummer Cicada with a black variation to reflect that of the Redeye.
