Tawny Frogmouths are nocturnal birds that are native and widespread throughout Australia. They can be found in almost any environment with large barked trees. Commonly mistaken for owls, Frogmouths are in their own family and are differentiated from owls by their large wide forward pointed beaks and their lack of powerful legs and talons. Their preferred prey are insects, in which they use their expert camouflage skills to lie in wait before snatching them up with their strong frog-like beak. They are also known to prey upon lizards and small vermin.
These socks are available in two colourways: Charcoal or Orange.
