Budgerigars, better known as budgies, are native to the dry grasslands of mainland Australia. These nomadic parrots usually travel in flocks of anywhere from a handful to around 100, but after good rains, their numbers can boom into the thousands!

This pair features a male and female wild budgie in their natural green and yellow. You can tell them apart by the cere (the nose area above the beak): blue for the male, pinkish-brown for the female.

Designed and hand assembled in our home studio, these wooden bird earrings are printed on and laser cut from 4mm cherry-veneered MDF, making them super lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. The front features the full-colour design, with a natural wood finish on the back. Because they’re made from real wood veneer, the grain, colour and texture vary slightly, so every pair is one of a kind. Available with hypoallergenic stainless steel hooks or adjustable clip-ons for unpierced ears.

Not recommended for children: the earrings contain small parts presenting a choking hazard and earrings also have pointy edges which can cause injury to infants.
